2,026 birds. One programmable market.
2026: STOCKS BECAME PROGRAMMABLE.

For decades, investing software changed how people viewed markets. Then crypto changed how people owned digital assets. Tokenized equities change something more fundamental: what software can do with stocks.
Robinhood Chain is a permissionless, Ethereum-compatible Layer 2 built for real-world assets — Stock Tokens and ETFs alongside smart contracts, wallets and autonomous execution. BIRDEX is a consumer layer built for that transition. At its center: exactly 2,026 Birds. Not 10,000. Not inflationary. Not 2,025. Each Bird is a persistent onchain financial identity with access to NEST, the programmable portfolio system. Nests become discoverable. Strategies become social. Birds accumulate history.
NEITHER AN NFT COLLECTION NOR A TRADING TERMINAL.
BIRDEX IS STONKFI.
Markets were closed systems. Brokerages controlled interfaces, exchanges controlled execution, custodians controlled assets. Applications could display finance — they could not hold it, exchange it, compose it. Crypto changed the architecture: assets became software-readable. Smart contracts could hold them. Protocols could exchange them. Wallets could own them.
THE MISSING PIECE WAS OBVIOUS. STOCKS.
Robinhood Stock Tokens provide economic exposure to supported equities, backed 1:1 by underlying shares held in custody — legally, tokenized debt securities, not direct share ownership, and jurisdiction-restricted. BIRDEX is not built on pretending stocks magically became ERC-20s. It is built on what happens when regulated financial exposure becomes composable with programmable infrastructure.
The next generation of investing products won't merely show people portfolios. Portfolios themselves will become programmable objects.
Because finance has enough suits.
The financial layer should be precise, transparent, secure, measurable — and boring when boring is good. The identity layer should be human, collectible, weird, expressive and culturally native to the internet. That identity is the Bird: an identity, an access primitive, a strategy profile, a reputation object, a historical record. There is no “NVDA Bird.” There is no “Tesla Bird.”
THE BIRD REPRESENTS THE INVESTOR.
The supply is the timestamp.
No second 2026 collection. No Bird inflation. No additional Birds because the Discord wants more runway. The collection is a finite cultural artifact of the year tokenized equities entered a genuinely programmable environment.
THERE ARE 2,026 BIRDS BECAUSE THERE WAS ONLY ONE 2026.
Not another synonym for stock trading — the application layer emerging around programmable tokenized equities. The Bird makes it culturally understandable. The Nest makes it useful. The Flock makes it social.
Your Bird owns an identity. Your Nest expresses a strategy. The Flock discovers what works.
Behind the simplicity: asset identity, pricing, corporate actions, authorization, execution, slippage, transaction state and eligibility — resolved against Robinhood's canonical Stock Token infrastructure, never against a ticker string.
No mystery contracts. No $NVDAELONINU.
Contract address first. Ticker second.
Traditional recurring investing automates “buy X every Y.” A Nest describes a target state — the execution layer translates intent into individual operations. Future strategies may support fixed allocation, equal weight, threshold rebalancing, drift control, conditional execution and agent-assisted strategies where technically, economically and legally appropriate. But complexity should not be confused with innovation.
V1 MAKES ONE THING WORK BEAUTIFULLY: BUILD YOUR PORTFOLIO ONCE. KEEP DEPLOYING INTO IT.
Every successful scheduled execution is a Flight. The consumer never reads cron job, keeper, UserOperation or executeBatch(). The interface says:
ABSTRACT THE CHAIN. NEVER HIDE THE TRUTH.
Technical information remains one tap deeper — always inspectable, never the interface.
An EVM-compatible L2 built on Arbitrum technology, ETH for gas, standard tooling — and first-class ERC-4337 account abstraction: programmable wallets, batching, session keys, gas sponsorship. A consumer should not approve five transactions every time a $25 Nest flies.
The objective isn't autonomous custody. It's controlled automation.
Finance has always been social. People share positions, copy trades, argue about allocations, screenshot PnL, and worship whoever called the bottom twelve minutes after deleting the tweet where they called the previous seventeen. BIRDEX makes strategy identity native: public Nests are discoverable through Trending · Top 7D · Top 30D · Most Copied · New · Highest Conviction — and, critically:
Failure is part of markets. It's also, unfortunately, content. The Flock turns portfolios into cultural objects — without turning the underlying financial data into a joke.
A public strategy can become reproducible. Copying does not send funds to the original Bird, does not grant custody, does not make anyone an asset manager. BIRDEX copies the portfolio configuration into the second user's independent Nest — their capital, their schedule, their authorization. Copies are independent: if the original changes, copies do not silently follow.
COPY THE CONFIGURATION. NEVER COPY THE CUSTODY.
Traditional NFT rarity is static. Hat: 3%. Eyes: 1%. Background: 0.4%. Congratulations — the JPEG has discovered Excel. BIRDEX introduces another form of rarity: history. Nests created, first Flight, 100 Flights, 1,000 Flights, a year active, drawdowns survived, copies earned, strategy longevity, Flock rankings.
A visually common Bird may carry an extraordinary history. That is far more interesting than rarity alone.
Non-transferable, application-level achievements. Not gamification for its own sake — portable financial-cultural reputation around the Bird. A Bird purchased years later carries provenance beyond its artwork. You're not only buying what it looks like. You're acquiring an artifact with history.
Discovery based on behavior rather than followers. Find Birds holding similar portfolios. Find Nests accumulating the same stock. Find long-lived strategies, high-conviction Birds, contrarians — and catastrophic financial poultry. Aggregated carefully and transparently, the Flock becomes a signal:
A Bird is not a stock. A Bird is not an ETF. A Bird is not a claim against the assets inside another person's Nest. A Bird does not represent fractional ownership of a managed portfolio.
The Bird is the identity and software-access primitive. Collectible value and financial-asset value stay decoupled — better product architecture, cleaner legal foundation.
BIRDEX does not require a fungible token to exist. Launching NFT + governance token + points + emissions + staking + season-one mystery boxes before anyone uses NEST would be economic lasagna. The network already begins with an asset: the Bird.
UTILITY PRECEDES TOKENOMICS.
Sustainable revenue comes from software people voluntarily use: advanced analytics, premium automation, professional Nest tooling, strategy intelligence, API access, execution infrastructure, B2B integrations. Transaction-based fees require careful technical, regulatory and economic analysis before deployment. BIRDEX does not begin by promising passive revenue distributions to NFT holders.
GIVE HOLDERS SOFTWARE, NOT PROMISES OF PROFIT.
Robinhood Stock Tokens are tokenized debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited. They provide economic exposure to underlying securities but do not grant legal or beneficial ownership of the underlying shares. Issued tokens are backed 1:1 by corresponding shares held with a custodian. Availability is jurisdiction-dependent, with restrictions including the United States.
BIRDEX never reduces this to “this ERC-20 is literally an Apple share.” It isn't. The interface accurately communicates instrument type, issuer, exposure and restrictions.
Degenerate culture does not require degenerate disclosures.
Tokenized markets create counterfeits — anyone can deploy a token named AAPL. Therefore: ticker ≠ identity. Every supported instrument in the BIRDEX Stock Asset Registry is identified by:
symbol + company name = display metadata only
Automation must never mean “give BIRDEX unlimited access to my wallet and pray the Bird behaves.” The target model is constrained authorization:
Every execution system assumes keys can be compromised, oracles can go stale, contracts can fail, liquidity can vanish, prices can move and software can contain bugs. Because eventually one Bird will attempt something unspeakable at 03:17 UTC.
THE ARCHITECTURE NEEDS TO SURVIVE THE BIRD.
This document describes proposed product architecture, not an offer of securities or investment advice. Stock Tokens are tokenized debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited, provide economic exposure without ownership of underlying shares, and are unavailable in restricted jurisdictions including the United States. Birds are collectibles and software-access primitives; they are not funds, securities or claims on any portfolio.
